Hi everyone, it’s me — Barkley (formerly Drago)! I’m about 1½ years old, an American Staffordshire/Pit Bull mix, and it’s time for me to find my forever home. I was rescued just before being euthanized on Christmas 2024 and fought my way back from pneumonia. One foster home wasn’t right for me, but thankfully my rescuers realized it and removed me. I was later adopted, but I was still fearful of new people and things. My adopter didn’t give up on me and decided to foster me instead, working with my amazing trainer, Jessica Ann Colletti at Canine Behavioral Solutions, to help me heal and gain confidence. I’ve come such a long way and now I’m ready for a hero — a strong, confident leader experienced with bully breeds who can guide me and show me the world isn’t so scary. I’m fully vetted, healthy, and my trainer will assist with my transition. Another dog might be great if it’s the right match! When I feel safe, I’m a happy, wiggly-butt, zoomie-loving cuddlebug. It’s been almost a year since my rescue, and I’m so ready to find my forever person — please share my story and help me find my home!

Hi, I’m Theo (you may remember me as Buttersquash)! I had a rough start in life and was so abused I could barely be touched. With patience and love from my foster mom, I’ve blossomed into a happy, ball-chasing, life-loving, cuddly boy — on my terms, of course (I even bring out my “inner feline” sometimes ). I’m about 3 years old, fully vetted, and one very special pup: Must have a completely fenced yard (non-negotiable — no leashes or leads for me). No kids and no cats (I pester them too much). Another playful dog would be awesome! I need a family experienced with anxious dogs who will give me patience, time, and love. I do have dry eye and need to be sedated at the vet, but my foster mom keeps me trimmed and handsome at home. I’m funny, unique, and full of love once I trust you. If you love to play ball and are ready for a loyal best friend, I’m your boy.

I’m Maggie Mae. I’m 4 years old and completely vetted. I was almost killed by another dog. Physically, I’ve healed, but emotionally I still suffer — I have PTSD. I love my housemate dog, but if someone reminds me of the attack, I will go after her. I’m looking for a brand-new start. I get along with other animals but should be the only pet in the home. It has been decided that it’s best to rehome me and get me into a new environment away from where I suffered. I almost lost my life and lost an ear, but I remain sweet and loving. Like a person with PTSD, I need someone who can continue to help me heal and make me feel safe. My family has made this difficult decision, and now I need an angel. I’m available for adoption through Brick City Rescue. I’m so very special — another rescue who is a friend of my mommy offered to help.

Hi, I’m Rocky! I’m a Bulldog/Pit mix, and my rescuers are guessing I’m between 1 and 2 years old. I still need vetting. I was in bad shape when I was dumped on a man, but he has been fostering me. It started out rough having another dog who didn’t like me. I’m a Velcro dog — I follow my foster family everywhere. I even tried to follow him to the bus! I went right through a door. I’m a sweet, loyal, wiggly-butt boy. The other dog doesn’t want to play with me, but I’d love a dog friend. I met the cat and didn’t pay much attention — I was more interested in lying in bed. I’m still in need of a foster or adopter. It’s been hard on my fosters, but they’ve kept me safe. I need an active home; another dog would be great. I like to play, cuddle, and can’t get close enough to the people I trust. I need training — I have little manners — and I have the funniest bark! It’s a howl-bark, and everyone who meets me loves me. I’m waiting to be with you. Can you be my happily ever after?
