Hi, it’s me, Barkley. I’m a 2½-year-old blue nose pit. I’m neutered, and I’ll be up-to-date on my shots before adoption. Over the last year, I’ve come such a long way with the help of so many people. A foster home tore me down, but it hasn’t stopped me from becoming the dog I was meant to be. Thanks to my amazing foster mom and my dog trainer, Jessica at Colletti, I’ve become a super sweet, loving dog again. It takes me a little time to warm up, but I can meet people without a muzzle now. I was even near another dog—considering how I was when I first came to my foster, that’s huge! This is a happy ending, and now I’m ready for my forever home. My perfect family would have kids at least 17 years old. No cats. Other dogs will depend on the dog. My new family should know that I’m a reactive dog who needs slow and steady introductions—the calmer, the better. The more confidence my owner has, the more confidence I have. I need a special kind of family that can give me the time, patience, and love I still deserve. My dog trainer will give one free session to whoever adopts me, and my rescue will always be there for any question or concerns.

Hi, it’s me, Theo. I am neutered and have my shots. If you remember, I was rescued from a shelter. It took me a while, but my foster has helped me become a loving, sweet dog. I like other dogs—no cats, please. I’m about three years old. I have dry eye, and I still suffer from anxiety from my past abuse, but I’m ready for my forever home. My forever home should have kids older than 18 and be able to handle a little dog with a big personality. I LOVE to play ball—I could play all day! I also like to nuzzle with you once I trust you. It does take me a little time to trust, and I may still nip out of nowhere—but can you blame a guy? I’m on medication for my anxiety, and it’s really helped. I trust my foster mom, and she can groom me, but for a groomer or vet visit, I do need to be sedated. I get drops for my eyes once a day, and I’m getting better with it. Hey, it’s me, Rocky. I am neutered and have my shots. I’m about two years old. I’m a sweet, loving little pitbull. I weigh 60 pounds, but I’m low to the ground with a crazy bark! I’m very sweet and got really attached to my foster. My new home should be active, where I have lots to do. I’ve been good with all dogs I’ve met, and I currently live with a cat who keeps me in line. I’m very playful and still a little rough around the edges, so I could use some training. I haven’t had any trouble with dogs or people—I just want your love and attention. I’m a wiggly-butt, happy boy looking for a great family. Hi, I’m Stella. Remember me? I was up for adoption 6 months ago. I was in my 4th home. Before that, I was used as a breeder. The other times, I was given up because I was too puppyish. It’s uncertain why some of the others gave me up. My last home said they didn’t have time for me. I’m about 4 years old now. I seem to be a pitbull mix with maybe black mouth cur. I am spayed and up to date on all my shots. With all this moving around and uncertainty, I just don’t know who my family is or who I can trust, so I feel like I have to protect myself. I’m a reactive dog. I do get along with the dog I live with and got along with previous dogs I’ve lived with. Sadly, only a few days after the last time I was adopted, there was an incident. I was at my new grandmom’s house when someone let her dogs in. They scared me, and I protected myself. This was not my fault. My new mom has made the hard decision to try to find me a home with someone who has experience with reactive dogs and who can give me the time and patience I need. I’m absolutely a Velcro dog. I love to play and I’m super energetic. I’m very sweet and loving, and I’ll give you kisses all day and sit in your lap. Being so unsure of things makes me reactive. I need everything done slowly—slow introductions to people, other animals, and even new places. I need to be introduced slowly to animals and people outside of my home. My adopted mom has agreed to foster me until the right and final home can be found. She uses treats to help me through new situations because I am highly motivated by treats. I’m only partially potty trained. I go both outside and inside, and I will occasionally use potty training pads. I’m so confused sometimes that I’m not always sure how things work where I am. My new home should have people who are savvy with bully breeds and reactive, sensitive dogs. It might be necessary to meet me a few times before taking me home. My rescuers say I deserve stability, a routine, and not to be moved around anymore. No kids. No cats. Only calm, nanny-type dogs with proper introductions, or I would like to be your only baby. I just want a family who will understand me, be patient with me, and finally give me the forever home I’ve been searching for.
